Using LykeBox: a tip about your username

I just wanted to remind you that once you have your account, you can try adding your @lykebox.com email to some email lists you are on. From that point on, you’ll receive those newsletters and update emails or daily deals in your LykeBox.

For example, I use LinkedIn and I gave them my @lykebox.com address. I’m much better at keeping up with their updates and activity emails now. I get my Groupons, LivingSocial deals, and more in the same way in LykeBox.

How you use LykeBox will differ and will be based on your lykes.

DEMO2012 The Thrill and Angst of Launch

The BIG launch is coming soon.

I’m sure we’ll have more launch events as launch is a period of time and not a point event. We’ll be in this period for the next three months or more as we ramp up and do everything we can to delight Lykers in LykeBox.

How many will sign up? Will the servers hold up? How many brands will people add to their LykeBox and how often will they come back to check in on what their brands are saying? We’re as curious as you are.

We should probably ask people to send in news of how lykebox has saved them time and money. Our beta users told us some pretty good stories. We’ll publish those testimonials on a new home page after DEMO.

Getting Ready in Sunnyvale

So, we’re here in the other valley again. We got in today and spent the day with a major media partner. Once things are finalized, we’ll be excited to make that announcement. Maybe another 2 months?

The rest of the day? Prepping for our big moment in the sun on Thursday afternoon. 6 minutes to tell the world about LykeBox – or at least an introduction to it. The script is looking good and the product makes me smile as always. This thing will save people time and money.

Going to DEMO

We’re excited to have been invited to launch at the prestigious DEMO conference 2012!  More than 20,000 technologies reviewed and 1,500 companies selected to launch on the DEMO stage over the past 22 years. The Venture Beat team reviewed thousands of applications and only invited a select group – the best of the best – to fill the 70 available spots.

Demo is the place with an audience of global press, VCs, and angel investors and IT buyers, where they discover the hottest start-ups in enterprise, mobile, cloud, consumer, social media and disruptive technologies. You may have heard of a few past participants, like E*trade, VMware, Adobe, shopping.com.

Our team’s working hard to get ready, bouncing ideas back and forth.  We have a smart group of people, start-up veterans. We know the meaning of “I needed that yesterday”.

We are going to show a new way to engage in direct marketing by giving everyone the ability to express their likes (Lykes) in one place, your own LykeBox.  Our technology gives you control of your over your experience, helping you engage with advertising and brands of your interest on your own time. We’ve been in closed beta and been getting great feedback from our users; feedback which we’re using to iterate on and make the product better.

LykeBox gives consumers a safe place to receive marketing messages and gives companies a more respectful way to send offers and messages to their Lykers.
